My mixed media collages and box assemblages are full of personal references. Texture and color are strongly influenced by cliff dwellings and rock art in the Southwest. There is a spiritual quality and mystery that I find in this region which I try to evoke in my work.
Many of the works on paper contain torn-up reproductions by Russian artist Kandinsky – who inspires much of my work – as well as recycled textured papers and labels that appeal to my sense of design.
